While xEV are gaining recognition in the market and becoming increasingly popular, they also present challenges. In addition, the cruising range of BEV in particular has become an issue due to insufficient recharging infrastructure, making it necessary to reduce the weight of the vehicle itself. In addition, the safety of EVs, such as fire hazards in the event of a collision, has been attracting attention in recent years.

As a relay manufacturer, we have developed “ER250” as our solution to these EV issues faced by automobile manufacturers.

“ER250” uses a structure that does not use ceramics, which is commonly used in other relays, making it a smaller and lower cost product. In addition, our unique contact structure has achieved the world’s highest short-circuit withstand performance: 20kA*1. Furthermore, by adopting a hinge structure, which is our specialty, we have also achieved the world’s highest shock resistance performance (1000 m/s2 *2) as an automotive high-voltage DC relay.
