1955 | NEC Corporation developed wire spring relay. |
1970 | Established NEC Tohoku (Ichinoseki city, Iwate prefecture). |
1971 | Started mass production of wire spring relay. |
1988 | Producted the world’s first twin relay. |
1996 | Established NEC Components Philippines, inc. (currently EMD Technologies Philippines Inc.) in the Philippines. |
2002 | Relay business has been spun off from NEC Tohoku. Established NEC TOKIN Iwate Co., Ltd. |
